American Athlete is planning a 15 hour Indoor Cycling Marathon on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 7 AM until 10 PM.
Riders will form teams with a team captain. The team members switch off every one-two hours, each team decides amongst themselves how many hours and when the team member will ride. There can be any number of people, up to 15 on a team. Team members do not have to be Club members. We will also save a couple of bikes for drop-ins. Each class will be 52 minutes long with 8 minutes for switching riders and instructors. The classes will not have stretching, but the instructors will encourage people to do that after class on their own.
There will be a large poster-paper sign-up sheet in the Cycling Room for each bike each hour. It will not cost anything, but donations will be collected for the University Food Bank.
We will also keep track of the total number of miles ridden in those 15 hours, which equals to 7 days of riding - wow!
Hook up with a team captain and Sign-up in the Cycling Studio.
